NLCS Dubai welcomed students and their families on the 10th of September 2017, ready for the new academic year.
Our campus occupies a prime location within Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum City, just three kilometers from the Burj Khalifa. We are situated in the Sobha Hartland development, adjacent to the Al Khail and Ras Al Khor Roads.
Our state-of-the-art 38,000 square metre school has been designed by NLCS education experts to provide the best learning experience, and a welcoming community feel. Our large, bright classrooms use the latest technologies. When at capacity, the School will comprise 13 dedicated science laboratories, and already boasts excellent IT facilities, a state-of-the-art Performing Arts Centre, a spacious dining hall and an impressive array of sporting facilities, including tennis courts, basketball courts, climbing wall, cricket/rugby field and an 8 lane indoor swimming pool.
NLCS Dubai delivers an International Baccalaureate (IB) education. The school is an authorised IB Continuum School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP).
English is the main language of instruction. In addition, the school offers Arabic, French, Spanish, German and Mandarin.
In the 2023-24 school year, we are operating Pre-KG through to Grade 12.

Yes. Whilst enrolling at the beginning of Term 1 (September) or Term 2 (January) are recommended, we understand that families often relocate at different times during the year. Subject to availability in a particular Grade, we will endeavour to accommodate admission throughout the school year.
Yes. Although NLCS (UK) is an independent day school for girls, NLCS Jeju in South Korea and NLCS Dubai are co-educational.
We recruit highly experienced and inspirational teachers from around the world. Many of our teachers are British nationals but others also come from Europe, the US and Australia. Using expertise and input from the ‘mother’ school in the UK, we have significant experience in recruiting highly dedicated teachers who care deeply about their students’ progress and well-being and can deliver inspiring subject lessons to light the flame of enthusiasm in your child.
NLCS Dubai students are an eclectic mix of many nationalities from around the world, reflecting the diverse demographic of Dubai.
We follow the UAE School Calendar as set by the Ministry of Education. For 2023-24, the school year commences on 28th August 2023 and will end on 4th July 2024. Please refer to our Calendar for further details.
We charge a non-refundable Application Fee of AED 500 + AED 25VAT upon submission of an application and prior to assessment. For offer holders, a non-refundable Deposit of AED 10,000 is required in order to confirm a child’s place at NLCS Dubai. This payment is offset against the first term’s Tuition Fee.

Yes. We undertake an assessment of each child. Please see our entry procedure page for further information.
We accept applications online via the Apply Now page of our website. Alternatively, you may download our application form here, and submit the completed form to [email protected]. Scanned copies of supporting documentation may also be emailed to this address. Parents are also welcome to collect and submit a paper application form at the School.
If you have supporting documentation that you were not able to submit with your application, for example, if you have recently received your Emirates ID cards and residence visas, scanned copies can be forwarded to [email protected]. Please be sure to quote your child’s name and the Applicant ID number in the correspondence.

We are committed to promoting healthy lifestyles at NLCS Dubai. We serve a wide range of healthy, delicious lunches and snacks in our light and spacious Dining Hall. Children are taught about health and well-being, and all students undertake regular physical activity through our PHE lessons and numerous after-school sports clubs and societies. Our pastoral care programme ensures that students can access emotional and mental well-being support as required.

Parents are able to obtain school uniforms by ordering online directly from our supplier, Zak’s, or visiting the Zak’s store in Jumeirah. Contact details for Zak’s can be found here.

Yes. Please consult with our admissions team as early as possible for further guidance regarding our learning support provision.
Yes. Our school has a full-time nurse on site at all times, as well as access to a part-time doctor. There is a dedicated Medical Centre for students who are feeling unwell.
As the School grows, we will advertise vacancies on the Employment page of our website as they become available. We also advertise some roles via the TES.
Yes. We have a programme for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, for students from Grade 9. Participants in the DofE International Award, as it is commonly known, design their own programme to fulfil the topics; Service, Physical Activity, Skills and Adventurous Journey, and so fits very well with the ethos of the IB curriculum.
