The Junior School at NLCS Dubai is for students from Pre-Kindergarten through to Grade 5 (Nursery to Year 6 in the UK system). It consists of the Early Years (Pre-KG and KG1), Lower Junior School (KG2 to G2) and Upper Junior School (G3 to G5).
We currently have places in all Grades within the Junior School for the school year 2025-2026. Life in the Junior School is vibrant, happy and exciting, with a rich curriculum and warm sense of community giving your child the best possible start to their education. From age three, students follow an academically ambitious programme of learning, with their teachers creating an environment that enables them actively to discover new knowledge, skills and understanding.
NLCS Dubai is an authorised IB World School, delivering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme. Students in the Junior School follow the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), a curriculum framework that is designed to develop independent inquiry and focuses on knowledge, concepts, skills, attitudes, and agency.
Pastoral care that is centered on the needs of each individual. The many opportunities to nurture talents and discover new interests outside of the classroom, make our school the ideal place for your child to learn and grow. IB World Schools share a common philosophy- a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students.
We believe that the combination of the freedom and breadth of connections offered by the PYP, coupled with the rigour and depth of the NLCS approach, creates a truly unique educational offering for families in Dubai.
As each student progresses through the School, they will become internationally minded: not simply tolerant of other people and perspectives but genuinely engaged in open dialogue and celebration of other cultures. They will be compassionate and inquisitive. And most of all, they will develop a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.
If you are unsure which Grade your child should enter into, please refer to our Age Placement Chart.
