The Senior School at NLCS Dubai is for students in Grades 6 to 12 (Years 7 to 13 in the UK system). It is divided into the Middle School (Grades 6-8), Upper School (Grades 9-10) and the Sixth Form (Grades 11-12).
We offer an ambitious education, culminating in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme; the ‘gold standard’ international qualification which facilitates entry into the world’s leading universities. Our goal is for each student to recognise academic excellence and to realise that it is attainable. We believe that students should be given every opportunity to try new things and explore their interests and talents, in order for their whole personality to grow. Through inspiring teaching, NLCS students will develop their love of subjects and, in exploring this subject-passion, will become truly independent learners.
All students in Grades 6 to 10 will belong to a ‘vertical’ tutor group made up of students from different year levels and will benefit from the pastoral care provided by their tutor, who will stay with them as they move up through the School. These tutor groups form part of a pastoral care ‘House’ system that enables students across Grades to socialise and grow together, thus creating a strong sense of community, and fostering a healthy spirit of competition!
