NLCS Dubai is committed to the safeguarding and promotion of welfare of children and young people. The school expects all members of our NLCS community and vistors to share and uphold this commitment. If a child cannot feel safe, they cannot learn to their full potential.
The safety and care of our students is of the upmost importance to NLCS Dubai. Protecting our students from harm is the responsibiity of all, and must be a priority in all that we do. NLCS Dubai is a full member of both the Safeguarding Alliance and National Online Safety. Our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, together with elements of other school policies, constitutes the School’s safeguarding framework. Safeguarding at NLCS Dubai is audited both internally and externally to ensure policies and procedures are highly effective.
DDSLs are trained to the same standards as the DSL and, in the absence of the DSL, carry out those functions necessary to ensure the ongoing safety and protection of students. In the event of a long-term absence of the DSL, a deputy will assume responsibility for the activities described above. On a day-to-day basis safeguarding activities may be delegated to a DDSL but ultimate lead responsibility for safeguarding and child protection remains with the DSL. Senior School
