Over the weekend, the Inaugural #NLCSDubai Duke of Edinburgh team completed the qualifying Adventurous Journey component of the Bronze International Award by undertaking a 2-day expedition through the Kalba Mountains in Fujairah. The students were required to be self-sufficient for the entire journey and carry all of the resources required for hiking, camping and cooking while navigating their way through the mountains. Along the way students worked on their group aim which was to create communication signals between members of the group over long distances to decipher the most effective strategy for safety and communication purposes.
