Students from the Senior School took part in a Shakespeare Festival last week in our Performing Arts Centre. They celebrated the work of the Bard with a collection of monologues and short scenes from a variety of plays including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and Julius Caesar. Drama students from Grades 9 and 10 created and performed a shortened version of the comedy Much Ado About Nothing, using the original text but staged in a modern setting. The event was a wonderful precursor to Literacy Week.
