Grade 6 students enjoyed a Biology field trip to the Umm Al Quwain mangroves this week, to examine the diversity of flora and fauna in this impressive habitat. Under the guidance of their teachers and field biologists from Ecoventure, the students learned about the mangrove ecosystem, how the leaves secrete salt and therefore taste salty and how to carefully catch, identify and release its famous crab inhabitants.
