House competitions and more
Anyone who has been at NLCS Dubai for any length of time will know that we take our House competitions very seriously! Spread throughout the year, these events are eagerly awaited, and Term 3 was the chance for Yibir, Jais, Hafeet and Javi to face-off in Basketball, Swimming and Rounders, as well as the grand finale to the year – House Drama!
The lunchtime Inter-House sports fixtures are great fun and totally inclusive, giving all students who wish to take part the opportunity to show their competitive spirit and pride for their House.
The Junior School House Cup was awarded to Javi in an assembly earlier this week, whereas the Senior School will have to wait for the results on the very last day of term… nail biting stuff!
Apart from House sport, the P.E. department and TeamNLCS have been extremely busy this term. Individual Sports Awards for the year were presented to Allegra Kelly and Gaspard Cheurlin for their commitment and outstanding effort in the Junior School.
The team award went to the unstoppable TeamNLCS Junior Swim Squad, who, after their success in the DASSA leagues, jump three divisions for next year! Other notable performances were from all members of the U11 Girls Rounders team who came runners-up in DASSA Division 2, and from the U9 Boys Development Cricket Team, who played brillia ntly to finish 3rd in their league. Congratulations!
